My life is a rollercoaster
As soon as it started I was locked in,
never to get out-
ever.
There have been high points,
low points
violent turns
fun loop-de-loops
and sudden drops
But however hard you try
you can't get out
and when it stops
so do you
and then
it's someone else's turn
Influence
John Locke was an English philosopher and physician. He was really big on political philosophy. In 1647 he was sent to West Minster School under sponsorship of his father's former commander; Alexander Popham. When he finished his studies there, he went to Christ Church, Oxford. John was a good student, but he was annoyed by the undergraduate cirriculum. He found that the work of modern philosophers was much more interesting than the normal material taught there. Locke talked about social contract and liberty. That later had influence on America's founding fathers. Thomas Jefferson even said that Locke was one of the greatest people who ever lived. Locke also created a classical reasoning for religious tolerance. John Locke said that ownership of property and goods should be identified by how much labor that person did to get those things. Locke also believed that human nature should be characterised be reason and tolerance.

You can delete comments after you've read them and confirmed that the grades are on Aires. The roller coaster poem is good, but I think there are more creative things you can say with that metaphor. Please review the directions for the John Locke project. You've left out some elements. Your paragraph does have lots of information in it, though. 3's. Mr. Chester
Chinese Poem
The moon hides and waits for the battle to be over
the warrior waits for the right time to prove his honor
then when the time comes he pounces on the unsuspecting warrior
when he has won he is happy that he has proves his honor and loyalty
pg. 248
I like the first two lines here. I wonder how much honor there was in hiding and waiting. Mr. Chester
Thatcher: Revered and reviled, in death as in life
By Peter Wilkinson, CNN

Over her 23 years in office, Margret Thatcher made a great deal of major decisions. Some which affect how people see her in death. One of them was shutting down the coal mining industry. This left many people without jobs. When England was told of her death one radio station was debating if they should air the "Witch is Dead." Instead they just played for five seconds. Her funeral is in military honors just like the Queen Mother, Winston Churchill, and Diana. People say this opens old wounds. Her death also couldn't have come at a worse time. Tax rates for high income taxpayers was reduced. Politicians are now debating whether to reverse her decision and bring back the coal mining industry. They blame her for the economic crisis over the past five years. Although many say the country needs a Thatcher state of mind more than ever.
